Bio
Deanna was introduced to singing jazz during the
Monday Night Jazz vocal workshop at McNally
Smith College taught by Lori Dokken and Judi
Donaghy.  After completing the workshop she
performed two showcases with Lori Dokken at
the Times Bar and Cafe and is now singing
professionally.

Deanna enjoys singing different styles of music.
She likes jazz and blues but also performs a
couple of popular (non-jazz) ballads. Her wide
variety of music and tempos are appreciated by
people attending her performances.  Deanna
sings something for everyone; even people who
are just discovering jazz and therefore not very
familiar with it.
There are many influences on Deanna's singing but most notably are Diana Krall,
Etta James, Norah Jones, and Jane Monheit. Deanna has a wide vocal range
which enables her to sing low blues songs as well as songs that require some fairly
high notes.

Check the Gigs page to see where Deanna is singing or try the Samples page to
hear samples from her latest demo.
